THE HOLY LAND TOUR - JEWISH HERITAGE [6 days/ 5 nights]
Day 1: Tel Aviv - Caesarea Upon your arrival, ride the beautiful Mediterranean coast and travel north to Caesarea and explore the archaeological ruins of the Romans. Seeing history come alive through theaters, the public baths, hippodrome, city gates, and much more. Dinner & overnight stay in Haifa.
Day 2: Mt.Carmel - Haifa - Tiberius See where Elijah proved the Ba'al prophet, with a morning visit to Muhraka. Continuing over to the scenic Baha'i Gardens of Haifa, then over to Tiberius where the Tomb of Maimonides (Rambam) awaits. Then we'll sail on the Sea of Galilee. In the afternoon, visit the Kibbutz where the first pioneer homes were built, at Kibbutz Degania. Enjoy dinner in Haifa with an overnight stay.
Day 3: Acer - Safed Start the day in Safed, known for the home of Jewish mysticism, Kabbalah. Walk through the artistic and spiritual city, visiting the old town synagogues: H'ari & Habuab. Then visit Acer to see the crusader castle, Turkish Hamam museum, and vibrant market. We'll view where the prophet Elijah has been said to have lived and taught. The evening will commence with a unique experience of Druze hospitality in Isafiya. With overnight stay in Haifa.
Day 4: Tel Aviv - Jerusalem See the modern city of Tel Aviv and tour the historical sites that sparked the origin of Israel: Beit Htfuzot, Neve Tzedek, Rabin Square, and Nachalat Binyamin. Then head towards the old city of Jaffa. End the day in Jerusalem with stops at Mt.Herzel and Yad Vashem. Dinner & overnight stay in Jerusalem.
Day 5: Dead Sea - Qumeran - Masada The day begins with a drive towards the lowest point on Earth, the Dead Sea. Visit the Qumran and explore the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. The day continues with a cable car ride to Masada. Learn about the historical events which happened there, and the archaeological finds. Then relax at the Dead Sea, enjoying the sun and mud.
Day 6: Jerusalem Begin the day with a beautiful view of Jerusalem on the Mount of Olives. Visit the city of David, then exploring Roman Cardo, the Madaba Map, the "Hurva" synagogue and the Burn House. Continue your visit to the Western Wall Tunnels and the Wailing walls - the holiest site for Jews. The day will continue at the Davidson Center, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in Jerusalem.
